Return to Japan… Tokyo Tower!!!

Hi everyone from La Colina, Curridabat Costa Rica :D !! I hope you’re doing excellent!!!

The day of my return to Japan from South Korea (may 19-2011 to be exact) I woke up around 5am,  full of doubt about what would happen in customs in Japan I took the bus from Seoul downtown to Incheon airport…

After my last days in South Korea it was time to get real (at least a bit!) and start thinking about what could happen if I could not make it into Japan again… I had the idea of traveling to the Philippines, visit some friends and relatives in Europe, flight to Canada, New York, Egypt, go back to Costa Rica, etc. I was worried with the situation because I HAD to return to Japan to finish some plans, continue others and there where a lot of important things that I couldn’t do on the first 3 months I was there.

The bus ride was about 1 hour long and the procedure at the airport was good and normal, I was tired because the night before I had just 3 hours of sleep and then I took the plane to Narita!

The flight from Incheon was quick, around 2 hours and by the time of the arrival I was very thoughtful about what the guy from immigration was going to tell me, if it was a NO I had to buy tickets for a non-defined destiny, flight out of Japan with no goodbyes from a lot of important friends, no Karate training and no visits to a lot of special places, a bitter end to the story…

To my relief the guy from customs didn’t asked a lot of questions, he checked my passport and he pasted this stamp in my passport… At that moment my happiness was huge :D !!!

Japan landing permit :D !!!

3 more months in Japan!!! :D I remember that on my way to Ueno, where I would meet again with the brotherhood I felt like a reborn person, I was totally happy to be back and to have another chance, 3 more months to keep dreaming!!!

Yoshito and Miyuki were waiting for me at home, I was very happy to see them and we started talking about things to do left in Japan. In the list, the final destination for that day was included: Tokyo Tower!

They told me that the tower was relatively close for a nice walk (about 3 hours) and we made plans to go someday but, that day we all had some free time, it was a beautiful afternoon in Tokyo and we felt very motivated to start the journey on the same day!

The walk was a bit heavy and it was getting very late so we decided to ride a taxi, during the walk I discovered that legendary dragons also exist in Japan :D

We found some dragons in Tokyo...

After the walk and the taxi ride we finally arrived! The tower is a work of art, the lights make the place look awesome!! Here some real and not so real photos from the perfect scenery!

Beautiful Tokyo Tower!!!

Loved this place and this day...

haha sugoi ne Yoshito kun!!!

oooki dayo!!! :D

The inside is as great as the outside, I took some photos of some ninjas in the tower and a not-so-good-quality video when we were descending from the top of the tower :D !!!

OMG! A ninja!!!

Tokyo Tower Ninja Mission... Check!!!

The top of the tower has a super nice view of the most famous streets of Tokyo, I could stay there for hours but that day we felt tired, I only had like 3 hours of sleep the night before and we were also hungry so we decided to take some photos to remember the moment and then we went out for dinner!

From the top!!! This is Tokyo!!!

Endless buildings...
Main streets of Tokyo...

hehe :D

Yoshito and Miyuki invited me to a very special noodle restaurant! You could eat different size soups for the same price of the normal one, but my stomach was not prepared for a huge size dinner so I asked for the normal sized one. Yoshito was very brave and he asked for a medium size, which was super huge and…

… After eating noodles like never before we headed back to Ueno were we met the other guys and just before going to bed I was thinking about all the opportunities waiting for me, I was grateful for everything I lived in Korea and until that day in Japan, the people I met during my journey and I was happy, as everyday in Japan…

Time to study some Japanese…
